We are all getting pretty fed up being stuck indoors. The weather outside is the bests its been in years but we can’t really enjoy it! We have decided to take a look at the some of the options on your doorstep.
The Dublin Mountains
Getting out for a walking through the forests of Ticnock is a great way to relieve the stresses of lockdown. Pack a lunch, the kids, the dog or simply disappear for a few hours on your own. You wont be disappointed. If you want to avoid the crowds you can take a lesser known route.
My personal favourite is to park at the Blue Light pub. Turn left as you exit the main carpark and about 50 meters you will see a steep road going up the mountain. I would advise to drop a pin here on Google maps if you are unfamiliar with the area so you can easily find your way back. Wander up the side of the mountain and enjoy. If you are really feeling up for it you can make your way all the way to the Hell Fire club.

Go Camping
Ok it might be a little early to be thinking of going camping but from the 20th of July the campsites around the country will be open. So now is the time to start thinking about booking!
If you are feeling even more adventurous you could rent a campervan in Ireland and check out Wild Atlantic Way. Ireland is one of the most scenic country’s in Europe and this might be just the right time to see some of it.
Check out Travel By Camper for some great campervan road trips around Ireland
We will be adding to this list all the time and would love to hear your ideas of ways to beat the lockdown blues.
